PPZ Birthday Parties
Make your child's birthday wild at the Zoo with animal guests! Up to 30 friends and family can join the fun.

A non-refundable deposit is required to book. If you have questions, please contact the Birthday Coordinator prior to booking at ppzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

An extension to your party time may be added for an additional fee.

PPZB Party Animals (ages 3-12)

There's no better place for a birthday party than the zoo! Every 90 min party is visited by 2 animal guests, a trip to the barn or pond to feed animals, and an experienced educator who will work with you to make sure this an unforgettable birthday for your child. Add on an extra 30 minutes so you have time for even more fun.

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a birthday party at the Prospect Park Zoo. If you have questions, contact the Birthday Party Specialist prior to booking online at ppzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

Submitting this form reserves your birthday party date & time & requires a non-refundable deposit. The Birthday Party Specialist will reach out to you within 3 business days, at which time you will have the option to add on party time for an additional cost. The price listed above is for up to 30 people, including the birthday family.

Our educational experiences get families outside to explore the Prospect Park Zoo in new ways! Led by our experienced educators, families will discover wildlife, connect with animals through up-close encounters, and create new memories!

Creepy Creatures: October 18, 2025
Not all creepy creatures are as scary as they seem! In this exciting program, children and their caregivers will meet some of the zoo’s most misunderstood animals and discover what makes them so fantastic. Through fun activities and up-close animal encounters, we’ll learn why bats, spiders, snakes, and other “spooky” creatures are actually superstars of the animal kingdom. Join us for a wild adventure that will change the way you see these amazing animals!

Amazing Animal Families: November 16, 2025
Join us at the zoo to celebrate the many ways animals care for their young! In this engaging morning program, you’ll explore how animal parents raise, protect, and nurture their families through interactive activities and up-close animal encounters. Along the way, discover the incredible bonds that connect families—both human and wild. It’s a heartwarming way to kick off the holiday season and give thanks for the amazing creatures that share our world!

Mother's Day - Pollinator Power! : May 10, 2026
Celebrate Mother’s Day at the zoo this year! In this special, family-friendly program, we’ll explore how bees, butterflies, and other pollinators help bring life to the world around us. Through interactive activities and up-close animal encounters, you’ll learn about the vital role these tiny superheroes play in our ecosystems. Perfect for moms and their little ones, this event will leave you feeling inspired and grateful for the beauty of nature and the amazing creatures all around us.

This fun, family-friendly program is all about turtles! In just 30 minutes, we’ll explore the fascinating differences between turtles, tortoises, and terrapins by meeting one of these amazing animals up close. Discover how these incredible reptiles survive in different habitats, what makes their shells so special, and why they’ve been around for millions of years. Perfect for curious kids and their caregivers, this engaging session will leave you turtally amazed!

Spring Showers, Animal Powers: April 25, 2026
Hop into spring with this fun and educational family program! In this adventure, kids and their caregivers will explore how animals thrive as nature awakens in the spring. From how frogs sing in the rain to how animals adapt to the changing weather, you’ll discover the incredible ways creatures adjust to the season’s changes. Through hands-on activities, animal encounters, and interactive fun, families will gain a deeper appreciation for the wonders of spring and the animals that thrive in it!

Storytime: Spring Tales and Springtails: May 16, 2026
Join us for a delightful afternoon of storytelling and exploration at the zoo, perfect for young animal lovers! In this interactive storytime program, we’ll dive into whimsical spring-themed tales about the animals that come out to play this time of year. From buzzing bees to hopping frogs, kids will hear fun stories and learn about the creatures that thrive as spring awakens. Adult Mocktails (18+)

Unwind at Prospect Park Zoo’s Adults-Only afternoon events, where you'll enjoy nature, mocktails, and themed experiences for guests 18 and older.

Nocturnal Nectar: October 26, 2025
Step into the shadows for a spooktacular afternoon of games, laughter, and deliciously eerie mocktails! In this adults-only Halloween program, Nocturnal Nectar, you’ll test your animal instincts with interactive challenges, meet animals up close, and sip on bewitching, handcrafted drinks. Enjoy our Bloody Mary or Apple Spider mocktails in a custom PPZ glass you can take home.

Marsh Madness: March 14, 2026
Get ready for a slam dunk of an afternoon at Marsh Madness! This adults-only event brings a touch of March Madness to the wetlands with interactive games, nature-themed bracket challenges, and a winning lineup of delicious mocktails, including Duckueries and Turtletinis. Sip, socialize, and enjoy the wildlife while exploring the zoo - and don’t forget to take home your free zoo glass as a souvenir. Whether you're a basketball fan, a nature lover, or just here for the drinks, this event will be a wildly good time!

Each ticket includes full zoo admission. Designed for adults 18+.

Can You Solve a Mystery at the Zoo? Become a Wildlife Detective, collect clues, and solve the mystery as you learn about animals and complete badge activities. Meet animals, trade SWAPS and enjoy a special Acorn Theater performance. Each participant will receive an event patch.

Tickets are per person and scouts must be accompanied by an adult.​

This program is held rain or shine and includes walking outside. Some outdoor areas have uneven surfaces.

Girl Scout Earth Day (Grades K-12th)

 Come celebrate the Earth at the Zoo! Enjoy fun environmental games, participate in a Citizen Science Project, complete a scavenger hunt that will take you around the world, and receive an event patch.  Bring SWAPS to trade!

This program is for children in grades K-12 and all children must be accompanied by an adult.Tickets are per person.
