FAMILY PROGRAMS

 
Breakfast with the Baboons (ages 4+, with adult)
   Regular Price: $60.00 Member Price: $50.00

Bring the whole family to have breakfast at the Zoo alongside of our troop of baboons. Watch these playful critters get a special breakfast, too. Learn about what animals eat, take a tour of the animal kitchen, & meet a special animal up close.

The price stated above covers one adult and one child. You may add up to three extra participants for $20 per person when you Add to Cart.

 
 
Little Hatchlings (12-23 months with adult)

Explore the zoo and all of its wonders with your little one. Classes are designed to help your child learn, explore, socialize, be creative and have fun! Children will experience up-close animal encounters, explore animal exhibits, and partake in tiered sensory activities that are designed for your zoo baby!

One caregiver is required to attend with each registered child. Additional siblings are not permitted in order to maintain an appropriate and comfortable setting for the participants.

To register multiple children of the correct age, simply "Add to Cart" for each one separately.

 
 
Toddler Time (ages 2-3 with adult)

Meet a variety of furry, scaly, and feathery zoo animals in these interactive classes for toddlers and their caregivers. Live animals, movement and musical activities, and a craft are part of the fun.

Mythical and Magical Creatures (PreK-5th Grade)

Have you ever seen a unicorn or a mermaid? Probably not, but these mythical and magical creatures fill our stories and imagination. Where did these incredible creatures come from? Are they based on actual animals? Join us for this week-long adventure as we investigate the fantastic beings found in myths, meet some animals that live at the zoo, and maybe even come up with some new magical creatures of our own.

 
 
Animal Adventures (Grades 2-5)

What amazing animals live in your neighborhood? Which wonderful creatures are here year-round and who shares our homes for part of the year? Join us for this one-day camp and find out all about the native animals of the East Coast. We'll meet some animal friends, practice with special tools, and build your observational skills so you can discover animals in our own backyard so any staycation you take is spectacular and full of wildlife.

This program is designed for children in 2nd-5th Grade.

Zoo Explorer (Entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade)

Campers will go on a race around the world to learn about animals and their habitats in this exciting week long camp. We will compete in daily challenges that test our science knowledge, teamwork,creativity and sportsmanship as we explore our zoo animals and learn about their countries of origin. Puzzles, scavenger hunts, and trivia games are just some of the challenges campers might encounter!

Child must be entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade in the fall of 2016.

 
 
Junior Scientist (Entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade)

Junior Scientist campers will spend the week exploring the zoo and get a glimpse of what it is like to be a zookeeper. Campers will discover the scientific knowledge zookeepers need for their job and practice many of the skills that go into working in a zoo, including conducting behavior studies and creating enrichment for several animals. During the week, campers will also get a behind the scenes look at the Zoo kitchen and the Clinic.
