Artistic Animals
Discover the ocean and its Fin-tastic creatures while also developing your creative abilities! Your little one will explore the aquarium through art, play, exhibit visits and animal encounters. Each day will feature an artist and their aquatic alias to learn about life under the sea. 

*This drop off camp is designed for Pre-schoolers and those entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2023. Campers must be 4 years old on or before their first day of camp. One week per camper.

Spineless Wonders
Did you know most animals don’t have backbones? Journey to Spineless and see jellies swim with no brain, an octopus squeeze into a tiny cave, and cuttlefish camouflage into their background. We will meet aquarium animals, go behind the scenes, and the explore Coney Island beach to find spineless neighbors.

Aqua Science
Dive into the ocean through a scientific lens! Join our team of marine scientists as we investigate different questions each day such as "What makes sea lions good swimmers?" and "Why don't all penguins live in cold habitats?" Through hands-on experiments, exhibit visits and animal encounters your camper will develop the skills to become a mini-marine biologist. 

Session Dates:
July 31 - August 4, 2023
August 14 - 18, 2023
August 28 - September 1, 2023

Camper must be entering 1st or 2nd grade in the fall of 2023.

Aqua Science
Dive into the ocean through a scientific lens! Whale Tales
Go on an exciting adventure that will take you deep into the ocean to meet the incredible creatures that live there! You'll learn all about their amazing adaptations and discover the truth behind some of the most famous sea stories. Along the way, you'll meet otters, sea lions, and other marine animals that call the ocean home. Get ready to dive into the world of Whale Tales and have an adventure you'll never forget.

Through hands-on projects, animal encounters, and exhibit exploration, we’ll learn how marine animals use their extreme adaptations to survive in the ocean, past & present!

July 31 - August 4, 2023
August 14 - 18, 2023
August 28 - September 1, 2023

Camper must be entering 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade in the fall of 2023.

Saving Sea Life
Want to know what it takes to protect our ocean? Join us this summer to investigate the successful conservation efforts that are saving marine life in our ocean. Through hands-on investigations, debates, research activities, and animal encounters, we will discuss new ways to save endangered ocean species.

Camper must be entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the fall of 2023.

The Shark Party includes VIP shark touch pool experience, shark activities and a party host to lead you through the fun!

The Birthday Party Specialist will reach out to you within 3 business days, at which time you will have the option to add on additional participants or party time for an additional cost. The price listed above is for up to 25 people, including the birthday family.

Bring your small fry for a big adventure at the NY Aquarium! Explore, play, and move through the new PlayQuarium and our other exhibits with your young aquarist before the Aquarium opens. Each week we will explore and learn about life under the sea, play together, and meet an ocean animal.

Seaside Explorations - Sunday May 7, 2023
Join us for this one-of-a-kind family experience as we head down to the edge of the water to explore the sandy shore ecosystem. We will collect plant and animal evidence and use field guides to identify and sort what we find. We’ll meet a live local animal and walk away with an appreciation for the amazing aquatic organisms that call Coney Island home.

This program is for families with children ages 3 and up. Tickets are per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sea Otters in the Kelp Forest ​ - March 12, 2023
Calling all future animal keepers! Dive underwater to explore sea otter habitats! You will learn about the important role of sea otters in the kelp forests, and even catch a glimpse of our new sea otter. You will go behind the scenes and meet a small ocean animal that lives in the kelp forest. 

Sea Turtles in the Coral Reef ​- April 23, 2023
Calling all future animal keepers! Explore the important relationship between sea turtles and the coral reef and learn how we can be habitat protectors! We will meet our sea turtle, go behind the scenes to see what she eats, and meet a small ocean animal up close.

River Monsters in the Rainforest​ - May 21, 2023
Calling all future animal keepers! Discover the mysteries of the flooded Amazonian rainforest and the giant river fish that call it home, and learn how we can be habitat protectors! We will go behind the scenes and meet a small ocean animal up close.

This program includes walking in areas that may be dimly lit. All pathways are wheelchair accessible.

This drop-off program is for children ages 6-11 years.

Come make a splash at the Aquarium for happy hour! Enjoy exploring our exhibits during this adults-only event, chat with our animal experts, and enjoy drink specials before heading out on the boardwalk for Coney Island’s fireworks!

Bring your sleeping bag and join us after hours to explore our Ocean Wonders: Sharks! exhibit. Discover the marine life of the Hudson Canyon with behind the scenes tours, fun activities and a live animal encounter at this unforgettable sleep "under" event.
