CPZ Summer Camp
A zoo adventure awaits! Register your child for a week of summer camp at the Central Park Zoo where they'll get to see animals up close, explore zoo exhibits, have fun, and make new friends. It'll be their wildest camp experience ever! 

Camp starts daily at 9:00am and ends at 3:00pm, unless otherwise noted. Each participant must wear the camp t-shirt every day of camp. One camp t-shirt is included in your registration for camp. Additional camp t-shirts can be purchased along with camp registration as an add-on item.

Zoo Fledglings Mini Camp (ages 2-4 with adult)

Our Summer Zoo-cation
Toddlers and caregivers, join us on an around-the-world adventure right here at the Zoo! We'll spend an hour each day investigating a new habitat and the animals that call it home. Hands-on activities, up-close animal encounters, art experiences, and zoo exploration are part of this week-long experience.

Are you ready to test your own Animal Sense? From super sniffers to hyper-hearing, campers will investigate adaptations like these through hands-on exploration, scientific investigations, and up-close animal encounters every day!

Splat, Boom, Hiss! This week, campers embark on an amazing adventure through the weird, wacky and WILD animal world. Campers may get messy as we make our way through some sticky situations, hair-raising animal encounters, and icky investigations.

Nature Explorers
Warning: this camp contains nature! In this half day all-outdoors camp, campers will get messy as they learn, play, and explore the zoo. Throughout the week, campers meet animals up-close, complete nature-based challenges, and discover how New Yorkers and scientists around the world help wildlife every day!

Throughout the animal kingdom and around the world, animals must outwit, outplay and outlast in order to survive every single day. This week, we'll put our own skills to the test as we explore the Zoo, meet animals up-close and complete team challenges, all while looking for the ultimate animal survivor!

Interested in a career in zookeeping or wildlife conservation? Expand your knowledge and develop new skills in this hands-on, interactive week exploring the role of zoos in the city and around the world. See what it takes to work in the field of conservation as we spend time getting up close to animals, meeting zookeepers, and designing our very own zoo.

Central Park Zoo Wild Birthday Bash 

Payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Maximum capacity is 35 total participants, inclusive of the party child and their family. Infants who are not yet walking do not count toward the total head count. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult in a 1:1 ratio. Children 4 and older must be accompanied by adult in a 1:10 ratio. For an additional price, you may add on an extra 30 minutes of party time.

Join Zoo Peeps, a program designed just for our youngest Zoo guests.  This active program will get you and your Peep moving around the zoo and seeing animals up close. 

Each ticket is per person. Each child must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. Please take note of the age range for this program prior to enrolling. Families with children older than 5 may enjoy the Family Zoo Mornings instead of Zoo Peeps

During this sensory inclusive morning program, families will explore the Tisch Children's Zoo before opening, participate in playful, sensory-friendly animal-themed activities, and help our animals enjoy their breakfast. Think you've got what it takes to be a zookeeper? Put your skills to the test in our new career focused program. Calling all Junior Keepers! Do you dream of a career with animals? During this program, participants explore different aspects of animal care, test your skills, and meet animals and their keepers. Participants will participate in husbandry tasks for animals, explore the Zoo, and meet a small ambassador animal in the classroom during the program.

Calling all engineers! At Animal Engineers Camp, we'll discover amazing feats of animal engineering and create designs inspired by nature. Campers will visit the zoo, meet animals up close, and have fun engineering like animals. This camp is for grades 1st-5th.

Faster, higher, stronger! Animals all over the world are capable of incredible feats of athleticism, from the agility of a snow leopard pouncing to the incredible speed of a penguin swimming. Through adrenaline inducing games, exhilarating animal encounters, and thrilling nature exploration we'll learn why human athletes strive to be strong as a zebu and nimble like a mongoose.This camp is for grades K-3rd.

Zookeeping for Grownups (18+)

Do you wish your coworkers had whiskers? Always dreamed of penguin peers? Discover the ins and outs of Animal Care at the Central Park Zoo as you live out your childhood dream job! At Zookeeping for Grownups, participants will have hands-on, messy animal experiences at the Central Park Zoo. We will help Children's Zoo keepers with everyday chores, including cleanup, meal prep, and play time. We'll get up close and personal with small ambassador animals, too. Be prepared to get messy!
