This jam-packed birthday adventure will delight kids and adults alike with activities, a scavenger hunt in one of our most popular exhibits, and special animal guests. You and your guests will have a private party space for the duration of the event and a dedicated conservation educator to ensure an unforgettable experience!

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a birthday party at the Bronx Zoo. If you have questions, contact the Birthday Party Specialist prior to booking online at bzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

Submitting this form reserves your birthday party date & time & requires a non-refundable deposit. The Birthday Party Specialist will reach out to you within one week, at which time you will have the option to add on additional participants and catering, for an additional cost. The price listed above is for up to 35 people, including the birthday family.

Conservation integrates knowledge across all STEM fields. As an informal science educator, learn how you can make conservation connections at your institution. Join us to explore this multidisciplinary topic through the lens of global WCS conservation stories. In this workshop, you’ll hear from diverse perspectives on topics such as sustainability, climate change, and genetics, engage in modeled learning activities, and explore how you can support your audience in their own STEM journeys.

Tapirs: February 16, 2025
Your morning just got wild with this special before-hours program! Your family will learn about tapirs through fun and engaging activities. After you meet an animal guest up close, our educators will guide you to the Jungle World exhibit to watch as our tapirs enjoy their exhibit and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.

Penguins: March 9, 2025
Your morning just got wild with this special before-hours program! Your family will learn about penguins through fun and engaging activities. After you meet an animal guest up close, our educators will guide you to the Sea Bird Colony exhibit to watch as our penguins enjoy their exhibit and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.

Budgies: May 18, 2025
Your morning just got wild with this special before-hours program! Your family will learn about budgies through fun and engaging activities. After you meet an animal guest up close, our educators will guide you to the new Budgie Landing exhibit to watch as our birds enjoy their exhibit and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.

All ages are welcome, but this is recommended for ages 3+. Tickets are per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult.

This all-girls nature experience will excite your curiosity while inspiring independence, confidence, and creativity! During this three-session outdoor series you will explore the natural world using scientific skills and tools. You will observe and study local wildlife along the Bronx River, documenting your findings in nature journals and through the creation of nature art, while learning about female scientists that do similar work. Participants will receive a nature kit to explore with each session.

Session Dates: Sundays - 3/16/2025, 3/23/2025, 3/30/2025

This program is completely outdoors and will include walking on uneven surfaces at the Mitsubishi River Walk.

This drop-off program is for children ages 8-12 years.

As a Zoo Explorer, you will explore the many ways the zoo cares for animals in this educational drop off program.

This is a drop off program for children ages 8-12 years old.

Looking for a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Bring your Valentine to the Zoo and spend the evening sampling sustainably grown chocolate at this exclusive after-hours program. Learn about the importance of insects in the production of chocolate—from cocoa pollination to soil health maintenance—and about the work of WCS with cocoa farmers around the world. You will also get an up close introduction to some ambassador animals that are species these projects help protect!

Price is per couple. Full admission to the zoo, as well as wine and chocolate are included in the price.

Join us for a lunch time conversation with Keith Lovett, President & Director of Animal Programs at the Bronx Zoo, and Dr. John Sykes, Clinical Department Head of the Zoological Health Program. You will hear about work Wildlife Conservation Society and others are doing around the world to protect wildlife and engage in discussion groups to learn more.

Illegal Trade - March 15, 2025
Explore the complex world of illegal wildlife trade with Keith Lovett, President & Director of Animal Programs at the Bronx Zoo, and Dr. John Sykes, Clinical Department Head of the Zoological Health Program. Join us for a lunchtime discussion to learn about the Bronx Zoo's efforts to combat this global crisis. Delve into the challenges of poaching and trafficking, and discover the vital role of education and advocacy in protecting wildlife.

Bring your own lunch or add on a boxed lunch during registration.

This session is in person and full admission is included.

Spice up your birding game! Join us for early access to the zoo grounds and search for migratory birds with our expert guides. We will also explore our exhibits to see our avian collection, discover the threats these birds face in the wild, and learn about the Wildlife Conservation Society’s efforts towards conserving birds around the world.

Switch up your WFH view and join us at the zoo!  Bring your laptop and enjoy a private classroom space with a stunning view of one of our exhibits. Take a coffee break, hangout with an animal ambassador, and savor a refreshing walk through our 265 acre city oasis. Free WiFi, light snacks and coffee provided—transform your workspace into a wild adventure! Note: this is an open workspace and not optimal for virtual meetings or phone calls. 

Bring your own lunch, visit the Dancing Crane Cafe, or order a boxed lunch in advance during registration.

This session is in person and full admission and parking are included. Participants may use the workspace until 3pm. Caregiver tip: If you have a school-aged child at home, consider dropping them off at the zoo for school break camp on the same day!

No School? Come to zoo camp! Join us for a fun filled one-day zoo camp full of hands-on activities, animal investigations, and animal encounters. Grown ups can plan a wild holiday, too, at our Work From Zoo programs running at the same time as School Break Camp.

Zoolympics - January 29, 2025
Join us for a fast paced, one-day zoo camp where you will investigate the fastest, strongest, and most acrobatic members of the animal kingdom. This day is filled with hands-on activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters.

Trekking the Tropics - March 31, 2025
Step into the tropics during this one-day school break experience! You will dive into the biodiverse world of rainforests through art, upclose ambassador animal encounters and exhibit visits. Throughout the day you will uncover the vital roles animals play in these ecosystems. Join us on this jungle adventure!

This is a drop-off for grades K-5th.

From the Jungle Book to WCS's 96 Elephants campaign, storytelling plays an exciting and important role in our relationship with wildlife. Embrace your inner storyteller during this camp by exploring a day in the life of different types of wildlife storytellers, including conservation photographers, field journalists, myth makers, and more! Each day you will meet animals up close in the classroom, visit zoo exhibits, and discover new stories.

Earn a Bronx Zoo patch during this fun-filled day featuring special scout-only activities! 

Gather your Girl Scout or Cub Scout group for an engaging and fun day at the Zoo! Groups will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo with general admission tickets, take an educational tour, create an art activity, and complete a scavenger hunt for a small prize! All Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will earn a Bronx Zoo patch!
