Early Childhood Programs

Zoo Peeps 1 Day (ages 2-3 with adult)

Join Zoo Peeps, a program designed just for 2-3 year olds. This active Caregiver & Me program will get you and your toddler moving around the Zoo and seeing animals up close.

This ticket is for one child age 2-3 years and a Caregiver. Additional siblings and adults are not permitted in order to maintain an appropriate and comfortable setting for the participants and caregiver.

Meet a variety of furry, scaly, and feathery Zoo animals in this unique series program for just for toddlers and their caregivers! Each week we will explore a different topic through highly interactive and engaging activities. Families will go on a mystery-solving adventure and use clues to solve mini mysteries within the Zoo! Our Educator will lead families as they explore the unique features of some of the animals and will work together to find clues that will help them uncover the mystery!

Spook-tacular Adventures - October 31, 2021
Join us for this spook-tacular adventure through the Zoo! Wear your costume and join our Educator for a spooky exploration of some of the creepiest animals in the Zoo!

The Central Park Zoo invites families of individuals with sensory processing needs to join us for this sensory-friendly morning at the Zoo! Explore our exhibits before the Zoo opens to watch some animals have their breakfast and participate in animal-themed activities. Recommended for children 12 and under.

Being an Animal Scientist is a cool job! In this camp, we'll explore the amazing people who work closely with the animals in our Zoo and around the world. We'll take a close look at a few different scientists who study animals and their habitats. Animal guests, Zoo visits, and hands-on activities are all part of this fun filled day camp!

Who Dun It at the Zoo? - May 2, 2022
Fancy yourself a detective? The Zoo needs your help solving a puzzling mystery! Campers will participate in hands-on activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters while working out this who-dun-it mystery!

ZooMazing Race Around the Zoo - Sunday, October 17, 2021
Join us for a ZooMazing Race around Central Park Zoo! Scouts work as teams to fulfill STEM challenges that connect to conservation and the environment. They’ll develop leadership skills and confidence as they work together to complete each activity. Scouts earn a Central Park Zoo fun patch for participation.

Girl Scout Zoo Year's Eve Party! - Friday, December 31, 2021
Join us for this Zoo Year's Eve Party just for Scouts! We will have games, crafts and activities sprinkled throughout the zoo and some hot cocoa and treats to warm up with! We'll end with a special animal experience to help ring in the New Year!

Cadettes Badge Workshop (Cadettes)

These fun filled workshops are a great way for your Girl Scouts to earn their badges! This 90 minute program is packed with fun activities, animal meet and greets and exhibit visits, all while completing the steps to earn their badge! Badges are included.

Animal Helpers
Scouts will explore many examples of the powerful relationship between humans and animals. During the program, you’ll meet a few resident ambassador animals and learn about the significance of the human-animal connection in wildlife conservation.

Animal Habitats
Juniors will earn their Animal Habitats badge by exploring the Central Park Zoo to learn all about animals and their habitats. They'll learn about and meet some animals from habitats all around the world and also get an insider view of how we recreate some animals' habitats in the Zoo.
