Animal Tales of Eric Carle
Spend the week exploring the "Animal Tales of Eric Carle" in Kinderzoo Camp! These classic stories will come alive as you play games, participate in dramatic play and sensory exploration, visit zoo exhibits, and meet animals up close in the classroom. During this exciting week, you will discover that every creature has an important job in nature.

ZOOper Heroes
Join forces with the Bronx ZOOper Hero to help safeguard the 5 elements: earth, water, air, fire and heart. Each day of this camp, you will face an eco-emergency that threatens one of the elements. Through exhibit visits, animal guest presentations and hands-on science experiences you will gain the knowledge to put a stop to the villains and save the day!

Young Naturalist
Do you love wildlife? Then this camp is for you! Join us to learn about the Bronx Zoo's local and exotic wildlife through hands-on investigations, scientific inquiry, and field research. Each day you will meet animals up close in the classroom, visit zoo exhibits, and play outdoors. Plan on full days of exploration and adventure that will give you a new appreciation for the natural world!

Conservation Storytellers
From the Jungle Book to WCS's 96 Elephants campaign, storytelling plays an exciting and important role in our relationship with wildlife. Embrace your inner storyteller during this camp by exploring a day in the life of different types of wildlife storytellers, including conservation photographers, field journalists, myth makers, and more! Each day you will meet animals up close in the classroom, visit zoo exhibits, and discover new stories.

Little Zoo Vets
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a zoo veterinarian? What do you do when a tiger has a tooth ache or an elephant has a sore foot? How do you anesthetize a fish or an aardvark? In this after-camp class taught by WCS veterinarian Dr. John Sykes, students will learn about the different aspects of zoo veterinary medicine. Classes will involve real veterinary medicine equipment and supplies. Students will gain an appreciation of what zoo veterinarians do every day and how animals at the zoo are cared for.

Session 1: Eyes, upper gastrointestinal tract, teeth, and darting
July 29 - August 2, 2024

Session 2: Ears, lower gastrointestinal tract, anesthesia, and bones
August 5 - 9, 2024

This is an after camp program that meets from 3pm - 4:30pm with a very limited class size. Registration in regular camp is not required.

Zoolympics
While the Summer 2024 Olympic Games are taking place in Paris, the Zoolympics will be in full swing at the Bronx Zoo! Join the Games to see the fastest, strongest, and most acrobatic members of the animal kingdom. You will investigate the traits that allow species to not just survive, but thrive in their environments. Throughout the week, visit zoo exhibits, meet animals up-close in the classroom, and compete in your own version of the Games!

Nature Investigators
If you love being outdoors and exploring nature, then this camp is perfect for you! Join us to learn about local wildlife through nature exploration, field reseach, exhibit visits, art making, and animal encounters. You will enjoy full days engaging in hands-on activites and investigating different species and their habitats, and use what you learn to help protect wildlife and wild places.

This jam-packed birthday adventure will delight kids and adults alike with activities, a scavenger hunt in one of our most popular exhibits, and special animal guests. You and your guests will have a private party space for the duration of the event and a dedicated conservation educator to ensure an unforgettable experience!

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a birthday party at the Bronx Zoo. If you have questions, contact the Birthday Party Specialist prior to booking online at bzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

Submitting this form reserves your birthday party date & time & requires a non-refundable deposit. The Birthday Party Specialist will reach out to you within one week, at which time you will have the option to add on additional participants and catering, for an additional cost. Grab a costume and join us for an evening of Halloween fun! This program is filled with animal encounters and spooky activities.

In this Halloween themed program, you will learn about spooky mythical mosters and the animals that inspired their lore. Meet some creepy crawly animals and show off your costumes!

After you meet an animal guest up close, our educators will guide you to the Sea Bird Colony exhibit to watch as our penguins enjoy their exhibit and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.

Budgies: May 18, 2025
Your morning just got wild with this special before-hours program! Your family will learn about budgies through fun and engaging activities. After you meet an animal guest up close, our educators will guide you to the new Budgie Landing exhibit to watch as our birds enjoy their exhibit and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.

This all-girls nature experience will excite your curiosity while inspiring independence, confidence, and creativity! During this three-session outdoor series you will explore the natural world using scientific skills and tools. You will observe and study local wildlife along the Bronx River, documenting your findings in nature journals and through the creation of nature art, while learning about female scientists that do similar work. Participants will receive a nature kit to explore with each session.

This program is completely outdoors and will include walking on uneven surfaces at the Mitsubishi River Walk.

This is a drop off program for children ages 8-12 years old.

Looking for a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Bring your Valentine to the Zoo and spend the evening sampling sustainably grown chocolate at this exclusive after-hours program. Learn about the importance of insects in the production of chocolate—from cocoa pollination to soil health maintenance—and about the work of WCS with cocoa farmers around the world. You will also get an up close introduction to some ambassador animals that are species these projects help protect!

Price is per couple. Full admission to the zoo, as well as wine and chocolate are included in the price.

Spice up your birding game! Join us for early access to the zoo grounds and search for migratory birds with our expert guides. We will also explore our exhibits to see our avian collection, discover the threats these birds face in the wild, and learn about the Wildlife Conservation Society’s efforts towards conserving birds around the world.

Throughout the day you will uncover the vital roles animals play in these ecosystems. Join us on this jungle adventure!

This is a drop-off for grades K-5th.

Earn a Bronx Zoo patch during this fun-filled day featuring special scout-only activities! 

Gather your Girl Scout or Cub Scout group for an engaging and fun day at the Zoo! Groups will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo with general admission tickets, take an educational tour, create an art activity, and complete a scavenger hunt for a small prize! All Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will earn a Bronx Zoo patch!
