This jam-packed birthday adventure will delight kids and adults alike with activities, a scavenger hunt in one of our most popular exhibits, and special animal guests. You and your guests will have a private party space for the duration of the event and a dedicated conservation educator to ensure an unforgettable experience!

Payment is required in full to book a birthday party at the Bronx Zoo. Cancellations made more than 4 weeks in advance will receive a full refund minus a $120 administrative fee. If you have questions, contact the Birthday Party Specialist prior to booking online at bzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

Tigers - November 22, 2026
Your morning just got wild with this special before-hours program! Your family will learn about tigers through fun and engaging activities. After meeting a small animal ambassador up-close, our educators will guide you to Tiger Mountain to watch as our tigers enjoy their exhibit and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.  

Wolrd of Darkness - May 15, 2027
Your morning just got wild with this special before-hours program! Your family will learn about the nocturnal animals living in the World of Darkness exhibit through fun and engaging activities. After meeting a small animal ambassador up-close, our educators will guide you to the World of Darkness to watch as these night dwellers enjoy their exhibits and chat with a zookeeper that cares for them.  

All ages are welcome, but this is recommended for ages 3+. Tickets are per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult. 

This program includes walking outside. All paths are wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Join us for a morning of sensory inclusive fun! This program is filled with exhibit explorations, a special animal guest, and hands-on activities before the zoo opens.

Spooktacular World of Darkness - October 25, 2026
In this sensory friendly nocturnal themed program, enjoy engaging activities, meet a small animal ambassador in the classroom, and explore the World of Darkness before it gets crowded. Costumes are encouraged! This program includes walking outside and walking through low-light, indoor spaces.

Giraffes - December 12, 2026
In this sensory friendly program, enjoy engaging activities, explore the Giraffe house exhibit before it opens to the public, and meet a small animal ambassador in a zoo classroom.

Mouse House - March 6, 2027
In this sensory friendly program, enjoy engaging activities, explore the Mouse House before it opens to the public, and meet a small animal ambasador in a zoo classroom. This program includes walking outside and walking through low-light, indoor spaces.

Children's Zoo - April 18, 2027

Are you a girl that is destined to be a science superhero? Sign up for this three-part series focusing on the many ways we put science, technology, engineering, and math skills to work for wildlife! This all-girls nature experience will excite your curiosity while inspiring independence, confidence, and creativity! During this outdoor series, you will explore the natural world using scientific skills and tools. You will observe and study local wildlife along the Bronx River, documenting your findings in nature journals and through the creation of nature art, while learning about female scientists that do similar work. 

Session Dates: Sundays - 3/7/2027, 3/14/2027, & 3/21/2027

Participants will receive a nature kit to use with each session. This drop-off program is open to all children, 8-12 years old, that identify as female or non-binary. The program will take place outdoors and will include walking on uneven surfaces.

As a Zoo Explorer, you will investigate the many ways the zoo cares for animals in this educational drop off program.

Bats - October 31, 2026

Have you ever wondered how zookeepers take care of the crocodiles and alligators at the Bronx Zoo? In this program, you will meet a small animal ambassador up-close, learn about enrichment for our animals, and explore the skills needed to take care of these strong, scaly reptiles!

Giraffes - April 10, 2027
Have you ever wondered how zookeepers take care of giraffes at the Bronx Zoo? In this program, you will meet a small animal ambassador up-close, learn about enrichment for our animals, and explore the skills needed to take care of our long-necked giants!

This is a drop off program for children ages 8-12 years old.

Spice up your Saturday morning nature walk and join us at the Bronx Zoo! First, meet a small animal ambassador in the classroom and learn how to conduct a bioblitz. Then, go out into the greenspaces at the Bronx Zoo and around the Bronx River to help record all the plants, animals, and fungi around us! We will use iNaturalist to contribute our findings to the larger scientific network and use the data we collect to inform future projects at the zoo. *This is a beginner-friendly experience, no prior biology knowledge needed!*

Each ticket includes limited admission to the zoo. This program includes walking outside on uneven surfaces.

Ages 16+

Are you WILD about animal facts? See if you have what it takes to be the last team standing during Tropical Trivia at the Bronx Zoo! Meet a small animal ambassador in a private classroom space, visit an exhibit, and put your zoo knowledge to the test. Sign up by yourself, with a partner, or with your whole team to enjoy a fun twist on trivia night with themed mocktails, light snacks, PRIZES and lots of laughs!

All attendees must have an individual ticket. Each ticket includes full zoo admission. This program includes some walking outside. All paths are wheelchair accessible.

Ages 18+

Earn a Bronx Zoo patch during this fun-filled day featuring special scout-only activities!

Gather your Girl Scout or Cub Scout group for a fun, engaging day at the zoo! Groups will have the opportunity to explore the zoo with limited admission tickets, take an educational tour, create an art activity, and complete a scavenger hunt to win a small prize! All Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will earn a Bronx Zoo patch!

This program will involve walking outside. Most pathways are wheelchair accessible.

Ticket is per person & children must be accompanied by an adult. All levels are welcome.
