This jam-packed birthday adventure will delight kids and adults alike with activities, a scavenger hunt in one of our most popular exhibits, and special animal guests. You and your guests will have a private party space for the duration of the event and a dedicated conservation educator to ensure an unforgettable experience!

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a birthday party at the Bronx Zoo. If you have questions, contact the Birthday Party Specialist prior to booking online at bzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

Submitting this form reserves your birthday party date & time & requires a non-refundable deposit. The Birthday Party Specialist will reach out to you within one week, at which time you will have the option to add on additional participants and catering, for an additional cost. The price listed above is for up to 35 people, including the birthday family.

Join us for a morning adventure to uncover the wild world of nocturnal animals! In this special family program, you will explore the new World of Darkness exhibit and discover the fascinating creatures only visible after nightfall. Through hand-on activities, up close animal encounters, and a guided tour, you'll discover the unique adaptations that help these animals navigate in the dark.

Are you a girl that is destined to be a science superhero? This all-girls nature experience will excite your curiosity while inspiring independence, confidence, and creativity! During this three-session outdoor series you will explore the natural world using scientific skills and tools. You will observe and study local wildlife along the Bronx River, documenting your findings in nature journals and through the creation of nature art, while learning about female scientists that do similar work. Sign up for this three-part series focusing on the many ways we put science, technology, engineering, and math skills to work for wildlife! 

Session Dates: Sundays - 3/15/2026, 3/22/2026, 3/29/2026

Participants will receive a nature kit to use with each session. This program will take place outdoors and will include walking on uneven surfaces.

This drop-off program is for children ages 8-12 years.

This is a drop off program for children ages 8-12 years old.

Grab your morning beverage and binoculars and join us for a quiet outing to search for migratory birds that use the Bronx Zoo as a stopover site. Spice up your birding game for Migratory Bird Day! Join us for early access to the zoo grounds and search for migratory birds with our expert guides. We will also explore the World of Birds to see part of our avian collection, discover the threats these birds face in the wild, and learn about the Wildlife Conservation Society’s efforts towards conserving birds around the world. We’re excited to partner with NYC Bird Alliance for this program. NYC Bird Alliance works for the protection of wild birds and habitat across the city.

Work from home at the zoo and enjoy stunning exhibit views in one of our private classroom spaces.Switch up your WFH view and join us at the zoo!  Bring your laptop and enjoy a private classroom space with a stunning view of one of our exhibits. Take a coffee break, hangout with an animal ambassador, and savor a refreshing walk through our 265 acre city oasis. Free WiFi, light snacks and coffee provided—transform your workspace into a wild adventure! Note: this is an open workspace and not optimal for virtual meetings or phone calls. 

Bring your own lunch or visit the Dancing Crane Cafe.

This session is in person and full admission and parking are included. Participants may use the workspace until 3pm. Caregiver tip: If you have a school-aged child at home, consider dropping them off at the zoo for school break camp on the same day!

Join us as we explore the astonishing diversity of sexual behavior and biology found in nature. From banana slugs and clown fish to bottlenose dolphins and bonobos, discover the many ways animals break the binary in the wild! We will dig into the intricacies of reproductive systems and social dynamics while exploring an exhibit and meeting an animal ambassador up close in the classroom.

In this one-day zoo camp, you will explore the spooky world of mythical monsters and the wildlife that influenced their lore by meeting some creepy creatures up close, diving into hands-on activities, and participating in scientific investigations. ​​​​​​​

Join us for a one-day zoo camp where you will discover ways to help protect our planet and combat climate change through hands-on activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters. There’s a wild tournament taking place in the animal kingdom! Create your bracket and join us for a fast-paced one-day zoo camp where you will explore nature’s fiercest competitors. With hands-on activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters, you will decide which species wins it all!

Earn a Bronx Zoo patch during this fun-filled day featuring special scout-only activities! Gather your Girl Scout or Cub Scout group for a fun, engaging day at the Zoo! Groups will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo with limited admission tickets, take an educational tour, create an art activity, and complete a scavenger hunt to win a small prize! All Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts will earn a Bronx Zoo patch.

This program will involve walking outside. Most pathways are wheelchair accessible.
