CPZ Birthday Parties

Central Park Zoo Wild Birthday Bash 
There's no better place for a birthday party than the Central Park Zoo! The birthday party package includes 90 minutes of jam-packed fun, animal guests, a trip around the Zoo, and two party hosts to make for an unforgettable birthday for your child. Parties conclude with time to enjoy treats like pizza and cupcakes and sing Happy Birthday, of course!

Payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Maximum capacity is 35 total participants, inclusive of the party child and their family. Infants who are not yet walking do not count toward the total head count. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult in a 1:1 ratio. Children 4 and older must be accompanied by adult in a 1:6 ratio.

In this hands-on program, you'll  discover what it takes to tackle the daily responsibilities of Central Park Zoo Keepers.  We'll play animal care themed games, meet a small ambassador animal, and visit zoo exhibits as part of our training!

CPZ Scout Troop Programs
Calling all Girl Scout Troop Leaders! Book one of our private Girl Scout Badge in a Day workshops for your whole troop at the Central Park Zoo. Workshops include steps toward earning the badge plus visits to select exhibits and meeting an animal up-close. Badges are handed out to all Girl Scouts that complete the activities at the Zoo. 

This is a private whole troop program booking. Capacity is 20 scouts and up to 3 adults. 
Additional time slots may be available. Contact us at cpzeducation@wcs.org with your request. 

We may also be able to accomodate other badge programs, or combine badges if requested. We're open to working with troop leaders to help them.

Daisy - Outdoor Art
Book a Daisy Outdoor Art Maker Badge Workshop for your troop and they'll use the Zoo as their canvas! During this adventure, your troop will observe color and music in the natural world, create thier own masterpiece using natural materials, and of course,  have up-close animal encounters and explore Zoo exhibits.

Daisy - Shapes in Nature
Daisies can earn their Shapes in Nature Badge at the Zoo! Using the Zoo as thier field site, they'll observe the natural world up close, paying attention to patterns they notice, and create nature inspired art. They'll also meet an animal up close, play games and explore the Zoo grounds. 

Daisy - Eco Learner
Daisies will earn their Eco Learner badge by going on a nature trek in the Central Park Zoo! Through games and challenges, your troop will discover the many ways they can take action to protect nature. During the trek through habitats at the Zoo, they will make a few pitstops to meet animal guests up close. 

Brownies - Shapes in Nature
Brownies can earn their Shapes in Nature badge at the Zoo!  Through observation and data collection, animal-themed activties and games, Girl Scouts will complete all 5 of the steps for this badge.  This workshop includes up-close animal encoutners, Zoo exhibit visits and more!​​​​​​​

Brownies - Pets
Looking for the purr-fect way for your Brownies to earn their Pets badge? In this workshop, Girl Scouts will explore which animals make appropriate pets and how to be a responsible pet owner. They’ll also embark on a quest to learn how to care for different types of animals and how to make simple enrichment for thier own pet.​​​​​​​

Brownies - Bugs
Brownies can earn their Bugs badge a the Central Park Zoo!  Troops will learn about the importance role bugs play in our environment and insect identification. They'll also participate in science-based activities, explore Zoo exhibits and meet animal guests in the classroom!  ​​​​​​​

Juniors - Animal Habitats
Juniors will earn their Animal Habitats badge by exploring the animals and thier habitats at Central Park Zoo! In this workshop, troops will learn the importance of animal habitats, explore habitats from all around the world and get an insider view of how the Zoo recreates some animals' habitats right in our park! They'll also meet an ambassador animal and explore Zoo exhibits. ​​​​​​​

Cadettes - Animal Helpers
Cadettes will earn their Animal Helpers badge as they explore many examples of the powerful relationship between humans and animals. During the program, they’ll meet a few resident ambassador animals and learn about the significance of the human-animal connection in wildlife conservation.​​​​​​​

Juniors & Cadettes - STEM Careers
Do your Girl Scouts dream of becoming a zookeeper or veterinarian? Maybe a field biologist? In this badge workshop, troops will explore different STEM careers in wildlife conservation by meeting animals and the people that work with them. They'll also explore the Zoo grounds and meet an animal ambassador up close! Available for both Juniors and Cadettes.
