PPZ Summer Camp

Prospect Park Zoo is WILD about summer camp! We bring all the fun of Zoo Camp with health and safety as a top priority.

Participants in this program will spend plenty of time outdoors during a range of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and precipitation, as well as travel over uneven, natural surfaces. Accommodations may be available. Please contact us for more information.

Camp sessions run from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. We now offer Extended Care from 3:00pm - 5:00PM. Extended Care includes free play, exhibit visits, and nature play exploration. Add-on items such as Extended Care and additional camp t-shirts can be added to your shopping cart once you select a week of camp.

Jungle Jams
Jam out with the sounds of nature! Through exhibit visits and animal encounters, campers will discover the many sounds that animals make and how that helps them communicate and survive. Inspired by the rhythm of the natural world, campers will even make their own music using natural and artificial items!

Zooperheroes
Ready to be a super-scientist and help save the world? Start here! Campers will work together to solve real conservation challenges with hands-on activities in the zoo. Throughout the week, they'll practice being wildlife biologists by venturing into the field, meeting animals up close, exploring our exhibits, and conducting experiments. Together our Zooperheroes will help save the planet.

One week per camper, but you can select a second week of another grade appropriate camp! One week per camper. Camper must be entering 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the fall of 2023.

PPZ Birthday Parties

Make your child's birthday wild at the Zoo with animal guests! Up to 30 friends and family can join the fun.

A non-refundable deposit is required to book. If you have questions, please contact the Birthday Coordinator prior to booking at ppzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

An extension to your party time may be added for an additional fee.

PPZB Party Animals (ages 3-12)

There's no better place for a birthday party than the Zoo! Every 90 min party is visited by 3 animal guests, a trip to the barn or pond to feed animals, and an experienced educator will work with you to make sure the animals and activities are ones that make this an unforgettable birthday for your child.

A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a birthday party at the Prospect Park Zoo. If you have questions, contact the Birthday Party Specialist prior to booking online at ppzbirthdayparties@wcs.org.

Submitting this form reserves your birthday party date & time & requires a non-refundable deposit. The Birthday Party Specialist will reach out to you within 3 business days, at which time you will have the option to add on party time for an additional cost. The price listed above is for up to 30 people, including the birthday family.
