PPZ Summer Camp
Prospect Park Zoo is WILD about summer camp! We bring all the fun of Zoo Camp with health and safety as a top priority.

Participants in this program will spend plenty of time outdoors during a range of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and precipitation, as well as travel over uneven, natural surfaces. Accommodations may be available. Please contact us for more information.

Extended Care is a great add-on option for caregivers who can't pick up their camper at 3:00pm, allowing caregivers to pick up anytime before 5:00pm. Extended Care includes free play, exhibit visits, and nature play exploration (weather permitting). Add on items like Extended Care and additional camp t-shirts when adding your selected camp purchase to your cart.

Animal Tales
In this four day camp, Kinderzoo campers will discover that every living thing plays an important role in nature as we spend the week bringing classic children’s stories to life through animal encounters, dramatic play, games, and exhibit visits.

Adventures in Nature 
Earth, air, fire, water, and heart - how do people and animals utilize these elements? Campers will meet animals up close and complete nature-based challenges to discover how animals work with the elements to survive. From composting leftover food scraps, to creating safe habitats for local wildlife, campers will learn about conservation actions that will create a healthy planet for us and our wild neighbors.

One week per camper, but you can buy a second week of another grade appropriate camp! Camper must be entering 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade in the fall of 2022.

Roll the dice and jump into an epic zoo adventure in this 4-day camp! Each day campers will come face-to-face with wild creatures, overcome unexpected quests, and journey through the realms of Zoo-manji. Make your child's birthday wild at the Zoo with animal guests! Up to 30 friends and family can join the fun.

Zoo-dunit Mystery - November 11, 2021
A mystery is afoot in this one-day camp! The Zoo was visited by a mysterious guest who left behind some interesting clues! Campers will meet animals up close and become Zoo detectives by investigating animal scat, footprints, and more as they help us solve this mystery and identify these sneaky visitors.

Can You Run the Zoo? - February 1, 2022
Join us for a fast paced, one-day Zoo camp where campers explore many of the jobs it takes to run a Zoo! From Artists to Zookeepers, there’s a role for everyone. This day is filled with hands-on activities, scientific investigations, and animal encounters.

Zoolutions March 5, 2022
It’s your turn to design the Zoo! Learn how keepers and exhibit designers use science skills and a dash of creativity to make habitats that suit animal needs. Try out these same skills to design special treats for the animals. Let your imagination run wild!

Things with Wings April 30, 2022
Calling all early birds! Flock together for this special feathered feature. In this session, we’ll explore how keepers care for our avian residents and meet some winged wonders up close.

Mother's Day Morning May 7, 2022
Let’s take a mom-ent to celebrate mom! Learn about our amazing animal parents, meet animals up close, and discover how Zoo babies are important to conservation. Craft a Mother's Day present for our animal moms, and then make a gift for your own!

Tickets are per person and children must be accompanied by an adult.
This program includes a short walk outside, even in colder weather. All pathways are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
