NYA Summer Camp
Add an underwater adventure to your summer vacation! New York Aquarium campers will gain an understanding of ocean life through play and exploration.

Participants in this program will spend plenty of time outdoors during a range of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and precipitation, as well as travel over uneven, natural surfaces. Accommodations may be available. Please contact us for more information.

Summer Camp operates from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. We offer an Extended Care add-on that runs from 3:00PM - 5:00PM. Extended Care includes fun activities, exhibit visits, and nature play exploration. Add on items such as Extended Care and additional camp t-shirts are available for purchase once you add a camp to your cart.

Home Sweet Home
Make yourself at home at the aquarium! Discover what animals live in ocean habitats from the shore to the seafloor. We’ll explore new habitats through exhibit visits, play, and crafts. What makes a habitat unique? How do animals survive? We'll meet animals, make habitats, and learn how to protect habitats.

Sense-sational Sea Creatures
Engage your five senses to explore the remarkable ways aquatic animals see, hear, taste, touch, and smell. Through hands-on experiences, interactive games, and exciting nature walks, your camper will gain a deeper understanding of the animal kingdom. Join us for a week of furry, feathery, and scaly fun!

Full Week Camp: $600/week non-members, $540/week members

This drop off camp is designed for those entering Pre-K 4 or Kindergarten in the fall of 2024 and are at least 4 years old on their first day of camp. Vets in Training, Home Sweet Home, and Sense-sational Sea Creatures are different camp themes, so you can register your child for up to three weeks of camp! Price is for one week of camp.

Jaws and Paws
Big teeth aren't enough to scare us away! Campers will explore life as both predator and prey and learn how animals use their adaptations to survive. We'll discover the amazing ways ocean animals catch prey and avoid predators through up close animal encounters and more! Join us in the fun!

We live on the Blue Planet with vast water systems connecting us with others around the world. We’ll dive into the fresh and saltwater world to discover the fascinating and diverse animals and their habitats. Campers will explore the aquatic world through hands-on activities, exhibit exploration, and animal encounters!

Fintastic Sharks
Learn about what makes these apex predators so amazing and a crucial part of healthy oceans. Discover diverse sharks from all over the world and learn about the work we are doing to protect them. Through hands-on activities and exhibit exploration, campers will become shark advocates and celebrate these unique animals.

Creatures of Coney Island
Come one, come all who walk or crawl, see the creatures of Coney Island both big and small. Campers will explore New York’s diverse animal “neighbors” and the unique habitats where they thrive. We’ll go behind the scenes to investigate their special exhibits and enjoy close encounters with aquatic animals.

Aqualympics
Dive into the record books to learn about the world’s fastest swimmers, strongest jaws, and largest animals! Through hands-on experiments and exclusive access to our amazing animals, we will discover the wild and wet world beneath the waves and see who takes home the gold in this year's Aqualympics!

Make your wildlife lover's birthday an unforgettable experience with a party at the New York Aquarium!

Explore, play, and move through the Aquarium before it opens. Enjoy this unique experience with your toddler including sensory activities, crafts, songs and movements! Calling all bird watchers! Come explore the birds that call the New York Aquarium home! 

This program includes walking in areas that may be dimly lit. All walkways are wheelchair accessible and stroller parking will be provided anywhere strollers cannot go.

This ticket is for one child ages 0-5 and a caregiver. If you would like to add on one additional adult, you may do so during check out. (Add-on tickets are limited.)

Bundle up as we explore the coldest parts of our world and the animals that live there. From penguins to polar bears, this unforgiving landscape supports more life than you might think. We will explore the extreme measures these animals must go through to survive, and the adaptations that help them do so.

Guppies and Buddies - February 1, 2025
We are all in this together! All living things are interconnected, but some species have very direct relationships. Dive into the different ways that ocean animals help each other survive. You and your family will go behind the scenes, make crafts, and meet a small ocean animal up close.​​​​​​​

Marvelous Marine Mammals - March 1, 2025
Calling fans of seals and sea lions! Bring the whole family to learn all about the amazing adaptations these animals have to help them survive in their habitat. We'll learn how our keepers care for mammals, go behind the scenes, and meet a small marine invertebrate up close.​​​​​​​

Seabird SEAfari - April 6, 2025
What birds can you SEA from the aquarium? You and your family will meet some of our feathered residents and look for some of the visiting birds that call Coney Island home. We'll make crafts for birds and meet a small marine animal up close.

Roses are red, Oceans are blue, Penguins fall in love too! Join us at the aquarium to learn about the breeding programs of our animals and the important research that goes into it. Superheroes of the Sea ​- March 15, 2025
Superheroes Assemble! Explore the variety of adaptations found in the ocean- teeth for shredding, spines for protection, fins for speed and more! We’ll go behind the scene and meet an ocean animal up close.

Deep Sea Science - November 5, 2024
Dive to the depths of the ocean to uncover the mysteries of deep sea creatures! We'll discover the science of how people were able to learn about unusual animals and their adaptations. We'll go behind the scenes, get early access to exhibits, and meet a small ocean invertebrate up close.

Marine Medics - January 20, 2025
How do aquarium vets care for all the different animals at the New York Aquarium? In this camp, you will practice being an aquatic veterinarian and investigate the tools of the trade. We will learn how to diagnose and treat animals like designing a splint for a penguin or learning how to move a shark. Get early access and meet an aquatic invertebrate.

This drop-off program is for children in 1st-5th grades. This is a nut-free camp. Campers must bring a nut-free lunch and snack.

World Water Scout Day

Join us at the New York Aquarium to celebrate World Water Day! A core focus of World Water Day is to support the achievement of clean water and sanitation for all by 2030. In this program, you will complete activities toward water-related badges, meet an animal, sing songs, trade SWAPS and receive an event patch! 

Ticket is per person & children must be accompanied by an adult. All levels are welcome. We recommend a 1:5 ratio, but require 1 adult for every 10 children.
